🇦🇹 Austria to participate at Eurovision Young Musicians 2024

As we start a new year, more countries continue to reveal if they are participating in Eurovision Young Musicians 2024. The next country to reveal if they are participating is Austria.

This will be Austria’s 20th participation

Austria’s participation in the 21st edition of the competition was revealed by ORF to Eurofestivales. At the time of writing, it is yet to reveal how they will be selecting their representative for this year’s competition.

What we know about Eurovision Young Musicians 2024

Earlier in the year, it has been revealed that Norwegian broadcaster NRK and the city of Bodø will be the hosts of the 21st edition of Eurovision Young Musicians, which will take place on Stromen Concert Hall on the 17th August 2024.

At the time of writing, the following countries have revealed their intention to participate

Austria’s Eurovision Young Musicians Journey

Austria is the most successful country in Eurovision Young Musicians, having been one of the countries participating in the inaugural edition of the competition. Since then, it has competed 19 times (only missing the 2018 edition of the competition), and hosting the comeptition six times (1990, 1998, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012). Their recent participation in the competition saw them being represented by Alexander Svetnitsky-Ehrenreich with the Clarinet.
