🇧🇪 Mustii to represent Belgium at Eurovision 2024

Surprise! RTBF has announced that Mustii will represent Belgium at Eurovision 2024. Details about the Belgian entry will be revealed in due course.

A multitalented artist in their own right

Mustii is a author, composer, singer and actor, and have starred in multiple roles in TV, theatre and films, including Grave, Un Petit Boulot, and L’Echange des Princesses.

In addition to their acting credits, Mustii has also released two studio albums (21st Century Boy and It’s Happening Now), as well as having successful tours and winning the ‘Revelation of the Year’ trophy at the D6bels Music Awards.

Belgium’s Eurovision Journey

Belgium was one of the debutant countries at the beginning of the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1956. For the first edition, countries could submit two songs, and for Belgium that year, ‘Messieurs les noyes de la Seine’ by Fud Leclerc and ‘Le plus beau jour de ma vie’ by Mony Marc represented the nation. To this day we do not know the final results of Eurovision 1956. Belgium have taken part in 64 Eurovision Song Contests; however they have only ever won once – in 1986 with Sandra Kim singing the song ‘J’amie la vie’, scoring 176 points.

In 2023, Gustaph represented Belgium with the song “Because of You”. Gustaph qualified from the second semi-final, eventually finishing in 7th place with a total of 182 points. The juries awarded Belgium 127 points, whilst the televote gave 55 points to the performance.
