It’s November and that means there has been so much Eurovision news. So, so much. We even already have our first artist confirmed for the upcoming contest. Between and beyond all that, however, musicians and producers have been very busy putting out new music. Once again I handpicked the best and biggest releases of the month for your ears to enjoy. This month’s round-up includes: superstar collabs, odes to those no longer with us, and some beats to drive those seasonal mood swings away.
If you want to jump straight to a specific section, here’s a list of pages, each filled to the brim with new music:
- The 2025 entries
- The Winners
- Other Highlights– EP of the month are here
- Now That’s What I Call… The Extended Eurovision Universe (artists from NFs, JESC, intervals, and more) – Song and LP of the month is here
The 2025 entries
Orestis Plakidis, Klavdia – “Dimosthenous Leksis”
Dionysis Savvopoulos was a legendary Greek songwriter and artist, so much so that he even received a state funeral following his death this year. Orestis Plakidis decided to honour Dionysis by recording numerous songs by the songwriter together with other artists, one of which is Klavdia. “Dimosthenous Leksis” has become a bit moodier than the original take, but still maintains an excellent ’70s flair and the Klavdia’s voice sounds great accompanied by an electric guitar.
Gabry Ponte & Marie Vaunt – “Hooked on the Bassline”
Marie Vaunt is the latest singer to work with the always busy Gabry Ponte because she is “Hooked on the Bassline”. Musically this track definitely on the harder side of Gabry’s discography, although ironically I would argue that the bassline on this track is one of his lesser efforts.
ADONXS – “Perfume”
“Poison Cake” co-write Emma Gale and others this month give some “Perfume” to ADONXS. The track builds to a pounding climax as ADONXS calls the person he desires “aromatherapy”. Anyway, the production is pretty solid, with a nice beat and some pleasing chord progressions.
Braaheim, EMMY – “Waiting Alone”
EMMY is back with new music, this month through a collab with Norwegian dj and producer Braaheim. “Waiting Alone” is the kind of song made for the clubs, but it also is surprisingly good as background music when writing a lengthy article
Lucio Corsi – “Notte di Natale”, “La chitarra Nella Roccia (Live)” (LP)
While I will mostly be avoiding Christmas/holiday music in the round-up proper, I will make an exception for our 2025 artists. First up we have Lucio Corsi, who treated us to a Christmas track and a non-holiday related live album. “La chitarra Nella Roccia (Live)” is a celebration of Lucio’s career so far. The concert can be watched live in full on Raiplay if you are in Italy, or streamed in audio form on your platform of choice worldwide. Recorded and performed at the abbey of San Galgano, the 21-track album features songs from throughout the artist’s career.
“Notte di Natale” (Christmas Eve) meanwhile you can read more about in the article below:
Salem Ilese, Go-Jo – “Merry Christmas from Australia”
Those cold Christmas days Lucio sings about are unfamiliar to Go-Jo, who wishes us a “Merry Christmas from Australia”. The song, a collab with Californian singer Salem Ilese, celebrates the warmth and sun that is the summery Australian holiday season.
Justyna Steczkowska – “Wsród Nocnej Ciszy”
“Wsród Nocnej Ciszy” (Midst Quiet Night) is a popular Christmas carol in Poland. So popular in fact that Justyna already released her own version of it back in 2005. 20 years on she decided to revisit the song, adding some new production to give it a bit of an update.
Zoë Më – “Loup Garou” (EP), “Voyage (version festive)”
Looking for excellent pop in German and French? Then give this EP by Zoë Më a spin. The previously released “Clair de Lune“, “Durch die Nacht“, “Million de Mois“, and Eurovision entry “Voyage” are joined by two new pieces of music. Read more about the EP and those new songs in our article below.
At the end of the month Zoë Më also treated us to a slightly different version of her Eurovision entry “Voyage”. Yes, your eyes are reading that correctly. It is a festive version. Or the version festive if you speak French. It really doesn’t feel all that different from the original, but that just means it still is beautiful and excellent.
NAPA, Jovem Dionisio – “Amor de Novo”
Meanwhile Portuguese representatives NAPA are trying to take over the world one step at a time with an international collab. Listen to “Amor de Novo”, a collab with Brazilian band Jovem Dionisio, here:
Sissal – “I’m Not Crying, I’m Dancing”
“I’m Not Crying, I’m Dancing”, Sissal proclaims on this midtempo bilingual dance pop track. Read more about it here:
