October: everything is eligible for Eurovision and we know very little so far. The first artist announcements are rolling in despite us not even knowing all the countries competing in May. Beyond that the record industry is busy as ever, with releases coming out ahead or during tours, and even the first Christmas music popping up. Once again I handpicked the best and biggest releases of the month for your ears to enjoy. This month’s round-up includes: Baltic bops, Dutch excellence in the EP and LP aisle, and someone coming back from retirement!

If you want to jump straight to a specific section, here’s a list of pages, each filled to the brim with new music:

The 2025 entries

Kyla Vėjas! – “Žaizdos Negyja”

March album of the month-winners Kyla Vėjas! are back in the round-up! “Žaizdos Negyja” (Wounds Don’t Heal) is another excellent, moody post-rock track from the duo. The thick basslines and pulsating synths are here as always, but more focused than back on their sophomore album. With the synth being less in your face on this production, this might be the most atmospheric and almost dreamy Kyla Vėjas effort yet. It is, of course, my track of the month!

Erika Vikman, Go-Jo – “APPETITE”

Between the hard work of “Ich Komme” and being a “Milkshake Man” respectively, Erika Vikman and Go-Jo have built up quite the “APPETITE”. The song is exactly what you expect from a collab between these artists, with perhaps the biggest surprise is hearing Erika singing in English. A pounding beat, a mix of 80s and 90s influences and plenty of sexual references, this is a lot of fun with Erika being the highlight for me.

Gabry Ponte, Erika – “I Don’t Know”

Love it, dread it, run from it: new music from Gabry Ponte arrives just the same. This is one of the producer’s most traditional pop oriented tracks, with a fairly light EDM touch and a heavy focus on vocalist Erika. And there is a pretty obvious reason for that: this actually is more of a remix of a pop track by Erika from 2003. Overall this song is a pleasant and relaxing listen and I don’t really know what else to say about it.

Theo Evan – “BETTER DAYS”

Like many people, Theo Evan is hoping and waiting for “Better Days”. The production is a bit too chaotic and disjointed for me personally but I can totally understand this working for fans of Theo Evan’s discography.

Ziferblat – “Незрівнянний світ краси”

“Незрівнянний світ краси” (An incomparable world of beauty) is what the new Ziferblat promises with their latest softrock offering. The track is a cover of the 1971 Nazariy Yaremchuk song of the same name. And, more specifically, one of the lesser known versions as the track has multiple different compositions. It is a really good listen, this song, with the original melodies working great with the added layers of electric guitar.

Zoë Më – “Clair de Lune”

We love Zoë Më around here, so as always I am happy to say that she has new music out. Read more about “Clair de Lune” and listen to it here:

KAJ – “Karaoke”

Having conquered the saunas, KAJ now has their eye set on karaoke booths. Find out more in our article about their new track “Karaoke” here:

Remember Monday – “More Than Ever”

The girls of Remember Monday thought that now, “More Than Ever”, was the time to release some new music. Want to read more about the song or listen to it? We’ve got you covered:
