🇦🇲 Nare releases their Junior Eurovision entry “DANCE!”

As it was previously announced, yesterday Nare released her 2022 Junior Eurovision entry “DANCE”. Nare will be representing the host country, Armenia at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Feel-good vibes for Nare

“DANCE!” is a high-energy, upbeat song. The music video is bright and colorful, and you can tell Nare is having a lot of fun in it. Armenia stays with the mature, up-tempo style that got them the win last year, however, this song has a more feel-good vibe about it. “DANCE!” was written by Grigor Kyokchyan, who also produced the song alongside Nick Egibyan.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022

The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Yerevan, following Malena’s win in the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “Qami Qami“, with the competition set to take place on the 11th of December. The competing countries in this year’s competition are as follows:

Armenia’s Junior Eurovision Journey

Armenia is one of the most successful countries in Junior Eurovision. The Caucasian nation first took part in 2007 and finished in second place, with “Erazanq” performed by Arevik. Following this, Armenia has scored ten top-five results – including a win in 2010, when Vladimir Arzumunyan triumphed in Minsk with his song “Mama”.

In 2021, Maléna represented Armenia after being due to represent the country in 2020. However, due to political reasons, Armenia withdrew – which meant Maléna was able to participate in the following year’s Contest. At the close of voting in Paris, Maléna’s “Qami Qami” came out on top, earning 224 points. This was the second time that Armenia won the Contest, and gives Armenia the right to host the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan.
