🇮🇹 Chanel Dilecta to represent Italy in the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

We now have all of the competing artists for this year’s contest as Italy reveals that Chanel Dilecta will represent them in Yerevan. Chanels’ entry for this year’s contest will be “Bla Bla Bla” which is set to be unveiled next week.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022

The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Yerevan, following Malena’s win in the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “Qami Qami“, with the competition set to take place on the 11th of December. The competing countries in this year’s competition are as follows:

• Albania – Kejtlin Gjata
• Armenia – Nare
• France – Lissandro
• Georgia – Mariam Bigvava
• Ireland – Sophie Lennon
• Italy – Chanel Dilecta
• Kazakhstan – David Charlin
• Malta – Gaia Gambuzza
• The Netherlands – Luna
• North Macedonia – Lara, Irina & Jovan
• Poland – Laura Bączkiewicz
• Portugal – Nicolas Alves
• Serbia – Katarina Savić
• Spain – Carlos Higes
• Ukraine – Zlata Dziunka
• United Kingdom – Freya Skye

Italy’s Junior Eurovision Journey

Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song “Tu primo grande amore”. The performance scored 159 points on its way to a victory. Since winning, Italy’s best result is a 3rd place in the 2016 contest. Italy has so far participated seven times in the contest.

Italy’s most recent participation was in 2021. Elisabetta Lizza’s “Specchio (Mirror on the Wall)” finished 10th with 107 points from the jury and online voters.
