🎶 Eurovision music round-up: February 2023

Now That’s What I Call… The Extended Eurovision Universe

As any Eurovision megafan knows, Eurovision neither starts nor ends with the main contest. From National Final season introducing the world to new and exciting artists, to former Junior Eurovision artists, to the big-name songwriters and producers that work behind the scenes, people from all over the music industry make Eurovision the amazing thing that it is. Here are some of the best new releases by Eurovision-adjacent acts.

Albina Kelmendi – “Emri im”

Yes, until they hit the stage 2023 artists will be listed here. And for the first time, it is not Noa Kirel! Albania’s 2023 rep Albina Kelmendi has hit the studio and released new song “Emri im” (My name). The song, which is an upbeat track that fuses traditional, rock, and pop elements, was released to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of Kosovo declaring its independence.

MIKA – “Zodi et Téhu, frères du désert” (OST, LP)

2022 host MIKA has released a new album, and it is the soundtrack to new French comedy adventure “Zodi et Téhu, frères du désert” (Zodi and Tehu, brothers of the desert). The 19 track album was composed and (co-)produced by Mika, and has everything from the typical dramatic soundtrack fair to a sung credit track. Said track is “Feels Like Fire” featuring South African singer Nomfundo Moh, who also gets writing credits for the track. “Feels Like Fire” got a lyric video to go along with the release.
