🇪🇸 A preview clip of Carlos Higes’ Junior Eurovision 2022 entry revealed

For the past few months we have followed Carlos’ Junior Eurovision journey. From their selection to the recording of the song, and its music video, today RTVE has unveiled a preview of the music video of Spain’s Junior Eurovision 2022 entry.

Music Video to be released today

As we have previously reported, the music video was filmed in Valencia. On the preview clip we see that Carlos’ entry for Yerevan fuses the Latin with the urban and some flamenco touch. The music video is directed by Pepo Alfaro with Vicky Gómez in charge of the choreography.

Another preview clip of the music video will be released at 17:00CET, with the official music video to be released during an advertisement break during ‘Dúos increíbles’ which is due to commence at 22:10CET tonight.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022

The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Yerevan, following Malena’s win in the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “Qami Qami“, with the competition set to take place on the 11th of December. The competing countries in this year’s competition are as follows:

Spain’s Junior Eurovision Journey

Spain has taken part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest a total of 7 times, with their first participation coming in the first edition of the Contest in 2003. In the initial Contest, Spain was represented by Sergio singing “Desde el cielo”, and at the close of voting Spain finished in second place, earning 125 points. Spain would go on to win the next edition of the show with María Isabel’s “Antes Muerte Que Sencilla”, finishing with 171 points.

Spain’s most recent participation was in 2021, when Levi Díaz represented the nation with his song “Reír” in Paris. At the close of voting, Spain finished 15th in a field of 19 participants. This was the first time Spain had placed anywhere outside the top 5 in any of their participations. Spain earned 77 points – 47 of which came from the online vote. The remaining 30 points were awarded by professional juries across Europe.
