Other Highlights
There is way too much music released every month to cover in-depth, but here are some of the best and biggest new tracks from other Eurovision artists:
NAVIBAND – “АДЛІГА” (LP)
“АДЛІГА” (THAW) is the latest album from NAVIBAND. From the almost lullaby-as-opener “Загляне Сонца” (Look at the sun) to the new wave inspired but still distinctly Naviband “Вяртайся” (Return) or hopeful album closer “НАДЗЕЯ”, there is so much to love on this album. Highly recommend!
Sudden Lights – “lai tev apnīk skumt”
“lai tev apnīk skumt” (may you get tired of growing) ironically sees Sudden Lights grow even further as a band. They take on some additional electronic influences but also a loud distorted guitar for what might be their most energetic song yet. A real delight, highly recommend you check it out!
We Are Domi – “Underdog”
We all love an “Underdog”, and now We Are Domi are here with one of their own, finally returning to the round-up after a lengthy absence. It starts gorgeously moody before building to a pulsating earworm of a chorus that takes melodic inspiration from “The Streets of Cairo” (which in recent years has most notably been used in Kesha’s “Take It Off” and 2025 Irish entry “Laika Party” by Emmy).
Chris Harms – “1980” (LP)
The album is here! After dropping numerous “1980” inspired synth tracks, Chris Harms of Lord of the Lost has now dropped his full album. From the smooth sound of opener “I Love You” to the techy vibes of “The Grey Machines” or closing ballad “May This Be Your Last Battlefield”, this is a treasure trove for us lovers of 80s new/darkwave.
S10 – “Weer Verliefd”
There’s new S10 music so of course she is back in the round-up! “Weer Verliefd” (In Love Again) sees S10 at perhaps her most poppy, with a groovy guitar and a pumping beat driving her forward as she sings about falling in love again. Her voice sounds dreamier than ever, with S10 beautifully balancing the vulnerability and confidence she is also expressing lyrically.
Paenda – “Good To Myself”
It is important to good to yourself, and Paenda is here to remind you of that. This self-worth anthem is an excellent showcase for Paenda’s vocals over some cool beats in the chorus. Paenda co-wrote the track with Christina M. Horn and produced it herself.
Elisa – “É A Tua Vez”
“É A Tua Vez” (It’s Your Turn), Elisa sings on this pretty pop-rock track. The song was written by fellow Portuguese artist Nena, who Eurofans will know for competing in Festival da Canção 2024. Talking about the song, Elisa says it was an honour to sing something composed by her friend.
