As we settle into the new year, more countries continue to reveal if they are participating in Eurovision Young Musicians 2024. The next country to reveal if they are participating is Switzerland.
Turnaround in participation
Initially, we have reported that Switzerland’s SRF will not be participating. However, as reported by Eurofestivales, SRF has now confirmed that it will indeed participate, with the broadcaster affirming that they already have promising candidates for its selection.
Switzerland will see them return to the competition, after taking an absence for the past eight editions of the competition, where we saw them last compete in 2006. With Switzerland’s confirmation, we will now see 10 countres compete, the maximum the EBU has stated when the event was announced.
What we know about Eurovision Young Musicians 2024
Earlier in the year, it has been revealed that Norwegian broadcaster NRK and the city of Bodø will be the hosts of the 21st edition of Eurovision Young Musicians, which will take place on Stromen Concert Hall on the 17th August 2024.
