🇧🇪 RTBF launches Eurovision Young Musicians 2024 selection

After confirming its participation for Eurovision Young Musicians 2024, Belgian broadcaster RTBF has launched the selection to find its representative for Bodø

Selection in collaboration with Musiq3

RTBF will be collaborating with Musiq3 in order to find Belgium’s Eurovision Young Musicians 2024 representative, with the selection being done in two phases.

  • First Phase – A video pre-selection. This must be sent to Musiq3 by 00:00 on March 1st.
  • Second Phase – A Live performance selection with piano, in front of a Jury on April 2 in Flagey.

The auditions are open to instrumentalist, singer or classical singer between the age of 12 and 21. You are able to send your performance to ‘infomusiq3@rtbf.be’. The rules for the selection can be found right here.

What we know about Eurovision Young Musicians 2024

Earlier in the year, it has been revealed that Norwegian broadcaster NRK and the city of Bodø will be the hosts of the 21st edition of Eurovision Young Musicians, which will take place on Stromen Concert Hall on the 17th August 2024.

Belgiums Eurovision Young Musicians Journey

Belgium made their debut in Eurovision Young Musicians in 1986. Since then, the country has participated in the competition 10 times, with their recent participation in the competition saw them being represented by Thaïs Defoort with the Cello.
