A new season of Eurovision has started, Junior Eurovision is slowly approaching, and artists are releasing music as if this is the last month they’ll get the chance. So let’s settle into this round-up of new music from Eurovision and beyond. This edition includes: surprising collabs, post-mortem releases, and some long awaited albums!

If you want to jump straight to a certain section, here’s a list of pages, each filled to the brim with new music:

The 2024 entries

LUNA – “Wild West”

Poland’s LUNA welcomes us to the real “Wild West” on her new latest release. “Wild West” was written just before her participation in the contest and deals with the harsh realities of modern life. The song, which sees LUNA perform over a thumping beat, was written by her together with Josh McClelland (Alessandra, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN), and producer Paul Dixon (MIKA, Foxes, Crystal Fighters).

Nebulossa – “COTILLEO”

The “Zorra” duo are here to make clear that any “COTILLEO” (GOSSIP) going around will not affect them. Sonically this new music fits right in with “Zorra” and the rest of Nebulossa’s late-80’s and beyond electropop.

Sarah Bonnici – “Love You Like That”

Here in the round-up with her second piece of post-contest new music is Malta’s Sarah Bonnici. “Love You Like That” takes musical inspiration from a variety of pop sources, leaning into sounds from 10 and 20 years ago without feeling dated or derivative. Reflecting on the song, Sarah herself notes that this is her third song in a row starting with the letter L. “Love You Like That” was written by Sarah Bonnici together with the producers of Edward Abela’s MIDNIGHT (Sam Way, Ciinderella Balthazar, Red Electric).

372Kaspar, korea, pluuto – “Hasart ft. Elina Born”

It’s a double-whammy of Estonian Eurovision artists as 372Kaspar and pluuto take 5MIINUST‘s korea and Elina Born “Hasart” (Gambling). The track, which is set to be part of 372Kaspar’s debut album out later this year, notes how you need to take risks to get the most out of life.

Olly, Angelina Mango, JVLI – “Per due come noi”, Angelina Mango – “melodrama – spanish version”

Speaking of doubles, here are two Angelina Mango tracks! First, the Sanremo 2024 winner teamed up with producer JVLI and 2023 Sanremo contestant Olly for joint effort “Per due come noi” (For two like us). Musically the song balances the classic love duet sound with electronic elements to create a great sounding mix.

Angelina Mango followed this up with more new music as she translated her song “melodrama” to Spanish.

ISAAK – “word by word”

Germany’s ISAAK is going through everything “word by word” on this by the numbers track. “Ram Pam Pam” co-composer Tomi Saario is one of 4 songwriters for this release, if you figure out why so many people were needed to create this let me know.

Jaxomy & Olly Alexander – “Desire”

Well, seems that one of Years & Years’ signature tracks, “Desire”, has been rebadged into an Olly Alexander piece for this deeply unnecessary, and at times unpleasant, remix by Berlin-based DJ Jaxomy.

Nazpəri Dostəliyeva ft. İlkin Dövlətov – “Yandırdın Qəlbimi”

İlkin Dövlətov teamed up with Nazpəri Dostəliyeva for a live performance on Azerbaijan’s İctimai Television, where they covered the Azeri classic “Yandırdın Qəlbimi” (You set my heart on fire). As always, İlkin’s vocals sound great.

Alina Pash, Bambie Thug – “Bad Witch”

Bambie Thug shows up on a track by Alina Pash as the two sing about being a “Bad Witch”. The track was written and produced by Alina Pash and A. L. Parker.

Karetus with VITORINO and iolanda – “LAURINDA”

This song I can best describe as “folktronica with hiphop influences”, which really just means you should listen to it yourself. This banging track comes to us courtesy of iolanda featuring on this song by the DJ/producer trio Karetus, together with the long active singer-songwriter Vitorino. I cannot speak highly enough of this song, which has brought together everyone here at TES who heard it in praising it, and with that it is only right it is crowned as song of the month!

KLER x alyona alyona – “Тільки в твоїх обіймах”

alyona alyona and KLER team up to sing about wanting to be “Тільки в твоїх обіймах” (Only in your arms). There is a distinct retro indiepop singer-songwriter feel to KLER’s parts of the track, while alyona alyona’s signature rapping brings in a nice little energy shift into the track.

Jerry Heil, Julia Sanina – “Wabi Sabi”

Returning to the round-up once again with new music is Jerry Heil. This month she teamed up with Julia Sanina of The Hardkiss and 2023 hosting fame to create the track “Wabi Sabi,” which you can read more about here:

Raiven ft. Micka Lifa – “Mama”

Having sung about women on her February EP, Raiven now releases new music with Micka Lifa while singing about “Mama”. You can find out more about this excellent song and Raiven’s upcoming tour here:

Mustii – “TELL THE KIDS IT’S ALRIGHT”

Despite not qualifying during Eurovision, Mustii is here with new music to “TELL THE KIDS IT’S ALRIGHT”. Read all about it in our article:

Fahree & Nurlana – “Dön Geriyə”

Fahree is a busy man and his latest contribution to the monthly round-up is “Dön Geriyə” (Turn Back), a collab with Nurlana. You can find out more about his new music here:
