Last month, it was announced that Iveta Mukuchyan, Garik Papoyan, and Karina Ignatyan would host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022. AMPTV have announced that they will be joined by a fourth host, Robin the Robot.

This is the first time in the history of the contest, that AI has been used as a hosting method. Robin the Robot has had their say about being involved with the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
“My lifelong dream has been to be surrounded by thousands of children and becoming friends with all the participants of Junior Eurovision. I think I am truly the biggest fan of the Contest, and my dream is finally coming true this year in Yerevan. So, let’s be friends and spin the magic together!”
Robin the Robot on joining the Junior Eurovision 2022 hosting line-up
In Armenia Robin, the Robot is a star. The robot helps share the feelings of children – particularly those recovering in the hospital. The robot is there to provide emotional support to children, whether it’s by playing with them or just being there to talk to them.
Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022
The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Yerevan, following Malena’s win in the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “Qami Qami“, with the competition set to take place on the 11th of December. The competing countries in this year’s competition are as follows:
- Albania – Kejtlin Gjata
- Armenia – Nare
- France – Lissandro
- Georgia – Mariam Bigvava
- Ireland – Sophie Lennon
- Italy – Chanel Dilecta
- Kazakhstan – David Charlin
- Malta – Gaia Gambuzza
- The Netherlands – Luna
- North Macedonia – Lara, Irina & Jovan
- Poland – Laura Bączkiewicz
- Portugal – Nicolas Alves
- Serbia – Katarina Savić
- Spain – Carlos Higes
- Ukraine – Zlata Dziunka
- United Kingdom – Freya Skye
