On Friday (28th October) UA:PBC has opened the voting in the search for the Ukrainian Jury for the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which will help decide 50% of the results of this year’s contest.
Who are you able to vote for?
The jurors for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest consists of three adults and two children, which the votrers are able to select in the online voting.
The candidates for the three Adult jurors are
- Barleben
- KHAYAT
- Maksym Nagornyak
- MamaRika
- Sofia Rol
- Svetlana Tarabarova
- Tatyana Piskaryova
- Victor Bayda
The candidates for the two Children jurors are:
- Anastasia Doroshenko
- Daria Rebrova
- Diana Stasiuk
- DJ Polinka
- Elizaveta Petruk
- Sofia Artemenko
Once the voting has finished, the five potential jurors would have to sign an agreement. If someone within the top five is unable to do so, the next highest ranking potential juror would then be given the opportunity to be a part of the jury. Voting can be done here, and will close on the 2nd of November.
Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022
The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Yerevan, following Malena’s win in the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “Qami Qami“, with the competition set to take place on the 11th of December. The competing countries in this year’s competition are as follows:

- Armenia – Nare
- France – Lissandro
- Georgia – Mariam Bigvava
- Ireland – Sophie Lennon
- Italy
- Kazakhstan – David Charlin
- Malta – Gaia Gambuzza
- The Netherlands – Luna
- North Macedonia – Lara Trpčeska and Irina Davidovska
- Poland – Laura Bączkiewicz
- Portugal – Nicolas Alves
- Serbia – Katarina Savić
- Spain – Carlos Higes
- Ukraine – Zlata Dziunka
- United Kingdom

Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision Journey
In 2006, Ukraine made their debut to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Nazar Slyusarchuk and the song “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll” (Хлопчик рок ‘н’ ролл), which placed 9th. Since their debut, the Eastern European nation has participated 15 times, and even won once in 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and her song “Nebo” (Небо). In 2021, Ukraine selected its representative through a national final, where Olena Usenko won the right to represent the nation with “Vazhil”, which managed to place 6th receiving 125 points from the jury and online vote.
